The 4th and Final Registry Complete!!

Well Paul has been wanting some items for the house and keeps talking about buying them. These include a vacuum (that works) and a freezer. I thought all along we would register at Lowe's. But I recently learned the store was discontinuing the registry as of July 2009. Really?

So, I thought about some other store options and the store I knew would sell these types of products is Sears. Again, this was another registry I completed online. I love the convenience of websites!

Love, Lust, and Natural Family Planning

Otherwise known as Pre-Cana, part 2.

So I hear pre-cana is much different now than it used to be. A few years back, the focus of pre-cana was communication, including the Catholic Church in your marriage, bearing children, etc.

Well ladies and gents, that's all different now. These days the 2nd half of pre-cana focuses on true love, turning away from lust, and natural family planning (and not the rythym method).

Here is the book we were given to read at a later time:

Interesting. Although from reading this post it probably seems like this was a long, long day (and don't get me wrong, it was), believe it or not, I really enjoyed it. Between working on the house, my travel for work, and a lot of stress, Paul and I don't get much time to just sit and enjoy each other. It was really nice to spend time with him.

One of my favorite stores -

is now added to the registry. Pottery Barn! Although Paul will never understand my PB addiction, just like I won't understand his need to leave his shoes all over the living room floor!

Instead of dragging Paul out to another registry shopping trip, I decided to create the registry online. Wow, it's amazing how easy things come together online. I spent two different days working on this registry. The PB website is huge and it was difficult to decide which items I liked the most.

I did narrow some items down and found some killer stuff. I could spend hours walking around Pottery Barn.

Oh Pottery Barn how I love thee!!!

So I found this dress in a magazine.....

And I wanted it, I wanted it bad! It was so super cute...I couldn't believe it. I thought it would make an amazing wedding shower dress. I thought about buying it, then forgot about it.

Flash forward a month or so later, my mom and I go car shopping (for her new car). After our adventure, we decided to head to KOP to meet Karen for lunch. I had to make a return to Nordstrom and while there decided to start shopping for my wedding shower dress. And then I remembered "THE dress"....you know, the one from the magazine. And lucky enough they have a Lilly Pulitzer store in KOP mall.

We head to Lilly, and they have the dress - and it's adorable! So here is the dress I'm wearing to my wedding shower:

Lilly Pulitzer Betsey Dress Embroidered Eyelet

I also purchased this adorable sweater to go with it. I couldn't find a picture in white, so here it is in salmon....

Lilly Pulitzer Paley Crochet Circle Cardigan

I also found these ultra adorable shoes to wear:

Now I just need to find some adorable jewelry and I will be all set!!!
