I'm a bit behind.....

I know it’s been a long time since my last post. Life has been HECTIC! I’ll play catch up now to include all the wedding related activities to date (2/25/09). I will backdate them on the blog itself so it will appear that I was on time all along, but we all know the truth.

Photographer Visits

During Paul's trip to Steamboat, I visited with potential photographers. Paul's decided that he just doesn't need to be involved in every meeting. Erin insisted I meet with more than one photographer. So, I picked the two whose blogs I stalk the most.

Ryan Estes Photography

Ryan's pictures are just gorgeous! Very classic, very upscale and just beautiful. I could look at his pictures all day long. Plus, he's a hell of a nice guy.

Here's his description from his blog:
"I'm Ryan, and you'll often find me with camera in hand. I live and work in the greater Philadelphia area providing brides, grooms, and families with cutting-edge photography. Here you'll find the latest images, news, and bits of this and that from Ryan Estes Photography. Come back often -- there's a lot happening, both in my life and in those of my clients.

What sort of images can you expect to see? That's a difficult question to answer... photojournalism + fashion, portraiture + landscape, documentary + candid... real people on the most important day of their lives, and genuine emotions shining through.

One thing is clear: these aren't your grandmother's wedding pictures. (No offense to your grandmother, of course...)"

Cindy Guessford Photography

Cindy's pictures are unbelievably cool. She is that true artist that captures every small detail. She's full of great ideas and is very easy to talk to.

Here's her description from her blog:
"I believe that as a photographer my clients entrust in me the most important of tasks... Documenting the moments that you can never get back and in doing so capturing the way you felt at that particular time in your life. I am thankful to be such an integral part of these memories! Whether it is a Proposal or an Engagement Session, a Wedding, Maternity, Birth or outing with your Family I strive to create Emotional, Artistic and Fun images. My shooting style is a blend of documentation, candids and portraits with a contemporary and fashion flair. So dare to be yourself, have fun and make memories and I will be there to help you preserve all of these very special moments in your life.

Disclaimer: My clients are typically Fabulous People who have a love for Images. You are making an Investment and my services are very Boutique in nature. I will work closely with you and am involved in every stage of the creative process to provide for you not just amazing images and art but also uniquely designed, one of a kind, heirloom quality albums. Because of the time I spend devoted to each and every client I accept only a limited number of Clients per year. I do shoot both locally and Internationally for Weddings and other sessions.

Thanks so much for reading my Blah-dee-Blah =) I truly look forward to working with you and capturing the Experiences that will become the Memories and Stories of your Life!"

This by far was the TOUGHEST decision I made in regards to our wedding. I love Ryan and Cindy's pictures, but for very different reasons. After much emotional debate, I decided to go with my gut, my first photography crush and book Cindy. I really feel emotional about our wedding pictures. I have to say that I think Cindy will deliver pictures that are absolutely amazing and completely outside of the box. I can't wait to work with her!!!
