More To-Dos and Things Gettin' Done.....

Just some other items that I realized I need to add to the wedding to do list....

-pick readers
-unity candle and mothers candles
-who will bring up gifts?
-buy reader and witnesses gifts
-gift for Father Ken?
-outfit for day before, day of, day after, evening after
-schedule massage for day before
-schedule hair and makeup day after
-buy Pauls wedding gifts
-moms dress

This weekend not only did I hit opening day at Nordstrom in Cherry Hill, I also crossed a big to-do off the list. I picked all the readings for our wedding mass. I'll tell you, I got teared up when I read the vow section. I can't believe in just a short 7 months Paul and I will be married!

Less than 8 months to go.....

I've been VERY behind on posting to my blog. I apologize. I need a swift kick in the butt sometimes.

Although I'm not keeping up with my posts, my plans are really coming along. Erin Proud is handling just about everything. So here's a quick list of the items Paul and I still need to handle in the upcoming months....

-Research invitation designs (STARTED 4/21)
-Pick readings and songs for Mass
-Schedule meeting with caterer (DONE 4/14)
-Update registry lists for bridal shower
-Schedule engagement photos
-Shop for engagement photo attire
-Meet with hair and makeup stylists to discuss ideas
-Create song play and do not playlists
-Select first dance and other special dance songs (DONE 4/14)
-Schedule dance lessons
-Order wedding rings
-Order tuxedo
-Draft wedding program information
-Test drive directions
-Attend first dress fitting
-Purchase guest book pen
-Research signature drink options
-Attend pre-cana
-Discuss flowers with Erin
-Order Mothers' gifts
-Apply for the marriage license
-Find something old, new, borrowed and blue
-Book nail appointment at Nail Bar

I'm sure there's more, but this is what I have so far!

My Wedding Hair

I am still considering my hairstyle for the big day. I was going to take out my highlights and just stick with one solid color. However, Julie, my hairdresser, recommends keeping the highlights. Since she's fabulous, I'm going to stick with her suggestion.

I'm leaning toward a half-up/half-down look. I would like to include a barrette in my hair.

I ordered the following barrette from JenaRichards.com:

Save the Dates

We are working with Proud to Plan for our STDs and Wedding Invitations. Erin and TJ Proud do fabulous work and they are very affordable. I highly recommend working with them. They have great ideas and sent us samples until we were completely satisfied. Check out their website - Proud to Plan.

Here's our STD:

I love them - they turned out fabulous! The paper quality is incredible! Plus the envelopes were printed with a font to match the STD. (Excuse the blocked out website - I need to upload a picture when I am back home)

My Shoes - the first pair, the only pair?

I've always wanted to treat myself to a super nice pair of designer shoes. I'm hoping to find a great pair for my wedding day.

In the meantime, I found an affordable pair in case I can't find my dream shoes. I bought them online at Shoes.com.

I selected ivory to match my dress.
